O livro de Bronson é uma coleção de fotografias em preto e branco de “Floresta Mágica” (The Magic Forest), uma área arborizada entre as comunidades Fire Island de Cherry Grove e The Pines. “É aqui”, escreve Bronson, “que as duas comunidades muito diferentes se encontram para transar. Há um grupo de voluntários de homens mais velhos, sobreviventes dos anos 80 e 90, que cuidam dos caminhos com fidelidade, acrescentando areia branca, cortando galhos perigosamente baixos, removendo lixo e pendurando sacos de preservativos nas árvores. Através deste universo úmido e enevoado flutuam os espíritos do passado, os muitos homens que morreram aqui e que vieram para cá para morrer ”.

Bronson’s book is a collection of black and white photographs of The Magic Forest, a wooded area between the Fire Island communities of Cherry Grove and The Pines. “It is here,” writes Bronson, “that the two very different communities meet for sex. There is a volunteer group of mostly older men, survivors from the ‘80s and ’90s, who tend the paths faithfully, adding white sand, cutting out dangerously low-hanging branches, removing trash, and hanging handy bags of condoms in the trees. Through this moist and misty universe float the spirits of the past, the many men who died here, and who came here to die.”
