| Dear friends, We are thrilled to announce the return of the Ji.hlava Academy for its 7th edition! This program is an opportunity for emerging filmmakers and film students passionate about non-fiction cinema to learn, network and share their work with international audiences. This year’s Academy will take place from October 29 to November 1, 2024, during the Ji.hlava IDFF. Participants will benefit from personalized mentorship by two experienced tutors, Vienna-based film director and screenwriter Anja Salomonowitz and renowned Filipino filmmaker, poet, and composer Khavn De La Cruz. This year’s program offers two distinct tracks: Practical Filmmaking, where students will engage in hands-on filmmaking sessions, and Industry Insight and Development, which includes masterclasses, lectures, and meetings with industry insiders. Participants will also receive a festival industry accreditation, granting access to all industry events and festival screenings.
